Out To Get You

So..here is the thing. I have this professor who is very abusive. I think he is on some sort of a disturbing mission to make his student’s life miserable as hell. He refuses to check your exams unless you go to his office. And if he finds a mistake (major or minor), he will call you dumb and stupid…or make other mean remarks like, “What are you? In kindergarten?!” Rumor has it that he made two or three students cry just within the last week.

Our class started out with nearly 40 students…and now after one month of classes…there are like twelve students left. Oh..and he keeps getting worst since there are fewer victims. The lectures are very uncomfortable..

Sad.

Anyway, if you had a professor of that sort…would you stay in the class or just drop out and take the course next semester? And have you ever had a professor who is very erm….ordinary? Share your experiences of misery….

PS: No, he can’t be fired because he isn’t an adjunct.

Re: Out To Get You

can't report him?

depends on the class and my status in the college, as well as my record. if that's supposed to be your last semester, then just stick it out, it's only a month or two.

Re: Out To Get You

I came to the conclusion pretty quickly that its a waste of money (whether yours or someone else's) to be in a class in which the professor has no respect for you and the environment is nasty.

Take the class later, take something else in the meantime.

Re: Out To Get You

Stay! It will be a character building experience, later, useful in your work life.
