If I cut a gajar into pieces, would it take less heat/energy to boil it tender verses if I try to boil it tender as one big chunk?
Re: Out of curiosity
Less, but banana kya hai gajar ka?
PS: I know you wont be able to answer my question.
Re: Out of curiosity
i think it would take less if you cut it in pieces, because the surface of the gajar through which the heat will go inside it, will increase when cutting it.
a thought experiment:
Ad absurdum, if you would make gajar pudding, it would take least time to boil it compared to one large chunk
Re: Out of curiosity
Of course small bits will take a shorter time...basic science a whole carrot will take you ages to boil...the smaller the pieces the quicker. Also try grating carrot for gajjar halwa
