ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has appealed to India not to punish his country for last week’s attacks in Mumbai, saying militants have the power to precipitate a war in the region, the Financial Times reported on Monday.
The Pakistani President said his country should not be punished for the three-day terrorist rampage in Mumbai that killed around 200 people including foreigners.
Zardari asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to “resist striking out at his (Pakistan’s) government should investigations show that Pakistani militant groups were responsible for the attacks”, the Financial Times reported. …

Common Ms Zardari. We don't need your pity. Your country is getting cussed out by the Indian media, your PM is getting punk'd by the Indians and you are begging to "Please don't punish Pakistan....." When does a country premiere talk to an enemy media in the first place? Has Manmohan Singh ever come on Geo? Did Vajpayee ever come on ARY to share his views? What a freakin joke this guy is. What is he worried about in the first place. Before a bomb falls he's going to get himself escorted to Dubai anyway.
Just another example, if we have people that are slaves to their political parties rather then the people of Pakistan, Pakistan isn't going nowhere. When will we ever get a leadership that has the pride, guts and ghairat to say "stick it"?
