How good is our relationship with the CAR’s-I heard we’re pretty tight with Azerbaijan, but have no idea about the rest of that lot of states?

Actually the CAR's were not happy with the govt, primarily because of the Taliban. The Iranians and Turkey have made much bigger inroads then we've managed.
As I understand it, we're pretty good with Turkmenistan and Kazakistan. With the Tajiks and Uzbeks we need to do better.
Zakk, I think Iran + Turkey has made inroads because both have ethno-lingual links there with Farsi and Turkish, so that means we just have to work harder to establish a strong relationship.
