Our music industry is not progressing as fast as it should do. Particularly after the demise of the Great Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. That legend lifted Pakistan and its music in such a short span that only Ustead Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan can only do it again, no one else. With such a sorry state of affairs, he wasn’t revered in Lollywood as should have been.On the contrary, other woods (Bollywood and Hollywood) took the best opportunity of occupying him and got the best out of him. While our Lollywood just have had lollypop in their mouth. If we glance back, we come to know that Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan sang more songs for the Bollywood then the Lollywood. Why so? He was our man and our hero, but others cashed in on him. Why is it like that? In essence, Our Lollywood needs to be revamped wholly and new faces like Sajjad Ali and Ibrarul Haq needs to be promoted. They are our assets and should be our interest as well. We may listen to English and Hindi Pop but our preference should be our singers. If we give them preference, they will certainly give us their best. We’ve Ibrar and Sajjad, the best new faces on Lollywood scenes. Those who attended Ibrar’s live concert in Dubai on Thursday, October 7, 1999, they will certainly agree with me how brilliantly he performed. He has a great variety and talent in him and we’re the one to excite him to utilise his talent maximally. Well, friends I’ll go on and on to make this a thesis. And you’ll be bored as well to read such a long thing. So the final conclusion is that Lollywood needs new educated and talented faces. And WE’re the one to promote it. It is their prerogative as well, not just our job. Let us say YES to it. YES
