Our Lives are predestined by God and you get what you give

Any thoughts? when we die, who we meet is predestined? Real life examples of it.

Re: Our Lives are predestined by God and you get what you give

wat?

Re: Our Lives are predestined by God and you get what you give

Well I kind of combined the concepts in the title there. but do you believe the story of your life is already prewritten in our souls?
and do you believe in the concept of "how you treat others or your actions have an equal and opposite reaction".

a person that screwed you over and got what he/she deserved back at them?

:hehe:

Yes I have a real life example of my meeting after death. Let me laugh and then I will share

Re: Our Lives are predestined by God and you get what you give

I was going to start a thread about predestination and free will. This reminds me I should.

To answer your question, I don't think the story of my life is predefined. I have a different theory of how predestination works. I will post it later.

Does every action have an equal and opposite reaction? This doesn't necessarily apply to how we treat others but then again, no one has come back from the dead to tell us Hitler is in hell paying for his sins.

Re: Our Lives are predestined by God and you get what you give

I was rushing when I started this thread :grumpy:

Re: Our Lives are predestined by God and you get what you give

The Hitler thing, I wonder about psychotic personalities like that, he did go insane didn’t he?

Don’t get all philosophical on me, philosophy always leaves me feeling . I just want it in plain english with examples. I need to know that people get to be avenged from others that have hurt them.

Re: Our Lives are predestined by God and you get what you give

I am kind of obsessed with WWII. Hitler made everything so much more interesting. He was a very smart dude, unfortunately. He knew how to play WAR. He and his wife committed suicide when he couldn't see Germany losing.

Re: Our Lives are predestined by God and you get what you give

why the double dose of death though? cyanide pill and a shot to the head. Would that be because he was a pure coward to avoid the consequences of his actions or was it because he didn't want any information to be leaked out of him by the Russians for the sake of his country....

He didn't really have such a horrendous death though or life after killing so many human beings. Nothing even close to the sins he committed against humanity.

Plus, noone knows what happened to Hitler because there were reports that the skull that was assumed to be that of Hitler's was really of a woman right?

Re: Our Lives are predestined by God and you get what you give

I believe in al-maktoob .. that which is written. If that's what you're asking about.

Re: Our Lives are predestined by God and you get what you give

Well, he wanted to commit suicide with his wife in complete seclusion. He asked one SS officer to shoot them afterwards and burn their bodies so the Russians never find them.

Re: Our Lives are predestined by God and you get what you give

tell me about your different theory of how predestination works. i'm curious.

I'm asking about if even if we work our hardest and making good life decisions it's obvious some things, like who we meet, how our lives unfold, are all prewritten by Allah. it's like Allah knows our next step even if we think we can decide our actions. Even if we have a couple near death situations, at those moments when we think are our last based on our actions, it's miraculous that we survive because Allah ultimately decides when we die.

Re: Our Lives are predestined by God and you get what you give

but no one's surviving jumping in front of a speeding train. isn't that enough to see this predestination thing is just a way to handling the stress of uncertainty by assigning it off to a higher power.

Re: Our Lives are predestined by God and you get what you give

Simply put, the decisions you make about your life and plans you make are by your free will. The theory I am speaking of has nothing to do with what you CHOOSE to do with your life. Predestination works in a sense that you cannot control how your body functions. You cannot control your next eye blink, limb movement, heart beat, and so on. That has been predefined for you and for every living thing. You don't get to choose when your heart will skip a beat or when you would blink OR when you'd catch a cold.... Things like that..

Re: Our Lives are predestined by God and you get what you give

But obviously the ones that are in that state of mind of committing suicide by jumping in front of train, were put into that state of mind because of those previous actions and circumstances. Sometimes as hard as a person tries to make something happen their way, it somehow doesn't go their way because of certain circumstances.

How do you explain people that would never survive a life threatening disease but are able to beat the disease. How does that person survive but another person with the same amount willpower and positive outlook doesn't survive the intensity of the same disease. Why does the first person get to survive but the second one doesn't?

I'm probably not saying what I wanted to say or i'm not putting it in the correct words so as to explain why I see the other side of the argument.

Re: Our Lives are predestined by God and you get what you give

disease regression is rare but it does happen and is not that much unreasonable.

Re: Our Lives are predestined by God and you get what you give

if i understand you, you are saying even things that appear as conscious choices to us are in fact the result of manipulation by a higher entity. well this is plausible. but i dont see any point then in respecting this higher power that makes people into puppets.

Re: Our Lives are predestined by God and you get what you give

Surviving near death situations not just one but two or three. These are situation where death is 90% possible and it's amazing that it was avoided, unbelievable even. Would that be "luck" or would that be a situation of we have a set time that we actually die? Regardless how that actual death happens, disease, slipping and falling when we're 80+.....or something minor.

Re: Our Lives are predestined by God and you get what you give

why it bothers you GG?
or
does it bother you ?

Re: Our Lives are predestined by God and you get what you give

Yeah, they are certainly miracles but how does this prove or even indicate that our lives are predefined?
