i love desi cuisine (am a true desi :D) .. but i am open to other cuisines, all thanks to my hubby who loves to try other things. i recently went to spain, loved their food!

For the brave desi girl who’d like to explore beyond, but safely, queer brings you this little meal.
**Tres Tapas:
Gambas rojos de queer**
Two shrimp that’d been generously seasoned with garlic and red smoky paprika, grilled, and served sprinkled with chopped parsley and a drizzle of olive oil.
**Spicy lentil sambusa **
Almost a flat mini-samosa, but not quite. Served with a bit of chopped fresh tomatoes with a splash of vinegar and sea salt.
Momo
steamed tibetan-style dumplings with a Nepali twist - stuffed with leeks, fatty ground lamb, and spices. Served with a tangy tomato chutney-dip.
First Course:
Daal makhani
served with really thin rotis splashed with ghee, a smashed raw shallot and green chilli, and fresh mango pickle.
Main Course:
Baked chermoula salmon
Not a desi on this planet who’d dislike chermoula. Served with a side of garlicky potatoes and bell-pepper hash, and green peas seasoned with a squeeze of lime and finely chopped basil.
Dessert:
Flan
Thick flan/custard, topped with caramel sauce and a dollop of raspberry preserve.

Maheen, the weather is all hurly burly here; grey gales and lashings of rain. So with that in mind I give you a wintry menu (exception being the pepper & feta parcels, which are there as a sort of tribute to the lost summer :().
-Moroccan chickpea soup served with home made bread, and pepper & feta parcels.
-Crockpot beef stroganoff served over noodles, with matchstick potatoes as a side.
-Apple crumble with vanilla custard sauce.
