Asma Sherazi had this guy on the show. I was so surprised that every guest and every person sitting in the crowd were all of the views that spot fixing was a sazish against Pakistan…
But what really annoyed me and showed this guys true character was, when a person from the crowd started praising Afridi, Razzaq, UAkmal…as soon as the guy started praising Afridi, you can hear Salman Butt say “Pathan hai” in his microphone. As to imply that this is why Afridi is being praised.
We’re a nation that dwells on conspiracy theories and plays the victimization card... perhaps as a coping mechanism for social anxiety. So the comments from the crowd don’t surprise me one bit.
Similarly, we’ve inherited our guile of polarizing communities to gain and maintain political power from the British rulers who were adept at divide and conquer. So, Salman Butt’s comments - however shameful, don’t suprise me either.
Your attitude tells me that you are on mission to create division within the country, your leadership did it successfully in 1971 and now you are again up to it…
Salman or any other person cannot be blamed on the basis of their region, it is simple logic, of course it would be hard for you to swallow as it is in contrast to your ideology of creating differences among the society… i really hope Pakistan should get rid of the minds which have done but created differences in the name of religion, cults and ethnicity…
