Re: Other way to remove facial hair!
at 1 st for the face just use warm wax! it really helps me alot after i try laser.
Laser: pay a lot of bucks hairs come back result was not wht i need so leave it.
can me some1 tell how to make besan ka mask? and how to use it? my sis have a hairy baby girl :) maybe it helps her
Any form of wax (hot, cold, sugaring, halawa) will leave u with premature wrinkles and saggy skin. Wax attaches to the hair but it also attaches to the skin and tugs on it. The friction will cause pigmentation as well as loose/lax skin. (not immedietly)
The safest is bleaching, next best option is threading.. and lastly waxing.
You can do upper lip waxing, eyebrow waxing, chin waxing, what else of the face is left? So yeh for FACE!
actually, i have light facial hair on my cheeks that i'd love to remove, hair on that part of my skin is my main concern
Re: Other way to remove facial hair!
Bleaching wouldn't work on me :/ my skin is not light, I thread, waxing is terrible I get way too much pimples from it, threading works better. PLUS bleaching doesn't remove any hair it just makes it lighter, and then you'd still have hairy parts in your face uggh :/
What about that laser technique does it really work permanently? Anyone had experience with it?
Re: Other way to remove facial hair!
i keep banging on about not lasering facial hair but it seems to be ignored.
whatever - it's not my face.
taken from a Laser forum; a common experience of women who have had their face lasered:
"I am new to this website & wish I had read this before I went for laser hair removal. I am a fair skinned, dark haired woman with excessive hair growth. I believe I'm type III. It's mainly vellus hairs over my entire body, but they are noticeable since the hairs are dark. I started getting laser done on my side burns in April 2005 and went until March 07 - with about 6 weeks between treatments. It worked great on the side burns. But then the vellus hairs on my cheeks, adjacent to where the side burns started growing longer and darker. It also was growing along my jaw line. I went back and the tech told me it has happened before to others and she would just go over the new hair with the laser and it would clear up. Not knowing enough and just wanting it gone, I went for about 9 more treatments on sides of face. The hair seemed to have stayed the same. My last treatment was on June 9, 2009. About 2 weeks after my last treatment I started noticing fine, white hairs under my bottom lip and all over my chin and down my neck (fine, but dense) where there was no hair before! I have no idea how this could have happened as this is not an area I have had treated. I'm really upset and wish I had never started laser in the first place. I have an appointment with a cosmetic dermatologist tomorrow who also does laser hair removal. I am freaking out over this new growth. I've dealt with hair my whole life but this was one spot I never had to worry about. This is starting to affect me mentally/emotionally. I have read a few posts that say electrology is the preferred method for getting female facial hair treated. I'm just scared to do anything now in case the problem becomes worse.
Any advice on what I should ask the dermatologist or advice in general?"
^ I've given-up too ;)
Re: Other way to remove facial hair!
Hot waxing is really working for me. I used to bleach first but then i read somewhere that its not good for the skin. After doing hot wax twice i can already feel my facial hair are getting thinner.
Re: Other way to remove facial hair!
i think you can use hair removing cream for face too..
Threading/waxing and bleaching don't make u're hair grow back thicker.
Gina are u sure about this? my friend started waxing her chin when she had total of four here over there NOw there are so many hair and she switiched to threading
Re: Other way to remove facial hair!
WHOAAAAA OK stoppitjaan, I'll continue threading although it annoys me that I have to do it CONSTANTLY...but I don't want an even more hairy face aaaah :S
Re: Other way to remove facial hair!
my dear for face you must use hot wax it will start retarding your hair growth in just one application because it got gunda broza in it aur is se skin kharab nahi hoti kiuon k is ki application finger se hoti hai ,never use strip kiuon k us se face ki skin loose hoti hai cold wax woh hota jo aap body wax k liye use karte ho us k ilawa halawa wax bhi hota hai jo k infants p jise baisan aur ata use karte hain vellus hair ko remove karne k liye same us tarha use hota hai.
dragonfly, ganda barosa is a totally different thing. its similar to warm wax or sugaring.

Can she (your friend) grow a goatee now? Just curious.
Sincerely,
Shabbo

I am :)
Waxing pulls-out the hair from the root.. there are no chemicals to play with the hair follicle or cause thicker hair-growth. Hair on the chin is usually a thyroid issue.. (hormonal imbalance) and goes away after it's treated.
Never! :nono:
Re: Other way to remove facial hair!
Gina my love, I think you've forgotten that I mentioned that root removal on most areas of the face - sideburns, chin and upper lip, causes hair to come back thicker. even if you don't have a hormonal problem.
those areas are sensitive to testosterone and when hair is removed from the root, the follicle is strengthened and what was once producing fine vellus hair begins to produce thicker, darker terminal hairs.
this isn't the same for everyone, some women won't find it changes the follicles, others will find that they stop having hardly any 'downy' growth and it's all thick and wirey. if the hair isn't too bad, i wouldn't risk finding out which you are.
Re: Other way to remove facial hair!
dear gina you are not right i have eleven years of experience in this field and the best option is hot wax ,please search on net if u r not convinced but do not give wrong advice to others it is also a sadqa-e-jaria ,wax se skin nahi latakti its strip wax jis se skin sage kar jati hai hum loog moisturize aur nourishment k bajaye skin ko us k natural oil se ripp off kar detay hain jis se skin latak jati hai aur loose ho jati hai ,and for laser IPL is the most successful in removing thicker hair aur laser vellus hair k liye nahi hota .ok
hope u wont mind but its in my nature that i always gave honest advices
Re: Other way to remove facial hair!
my dear bride 2 be hot wax ko jab aap wax heater main garam karo to aap ko gunda baroza ka distinct smell ajaye gi hot wax is hard due to gunda baroza, phitkari presence. all of you out there do use it but please not of low quality like "Lubna wax" than you will observe miracle yourself ,i can also give you the recipe to make it at home if u like.
Re: Other way to remove facial hair!
hi gina first time i ever seen you online, i m very happy to see u online
Re: Other way to remove facial hair!
Ah :( OK so err if I get it treated by taking hormones will it vanish? :S So far it hasn't grown back thicker but now I'm getting really scared :S I don't wanna end up looking like a larka...
