Other player(s) you will be cheering for?

I know everyone will be encouraging for their home teams; my question is what other player(s) you will be supporting this tournament?

I will be cheering for Brian Lara; he is like the “Last Samurai” of West Indies glory days. What a player he has been through out his career, class through and through, the way he destroyed his opponents, at home and overseas, is for us to treasure. I do not know how well West Indies will do in this tournament, I think they are very mediocre, but I hope Brain Lara has a great tournament.

From my side, I will be cheering anyone who puts in his whole-hearted efforts in the playing field on a given day, regardless of nationality. Dedication cannot be measured but only felt. The laughter, the anger, any number of combinations and dimensions on faces of these cricketers tell the whole story.

Panesar .. I hope he has a good tournament.
Murali .. one of my all time favs, despite that aweful stare he has.
Ponting .. Sheer class.
Ganguli .. I really feel sorry for the bloke. Hope he does well.

Any minnow team players (for the fighting spirit)

All of WI team

Andrew Strauss (ENG)

Dravid (IND)
Patel (IND)

And that is about it.

Why takalluf, go ahead.. write some more players in your list. So far you only have, lets see, 140 players in your list to cheer for. You probably need some more.

Specially Mohammad Yousaf and the whole Pakistan team.

Rahul Dravid. I like his immense focus, hard working, patience, consistency and good personality. Also a humble and sensable gentleman on stage. ( He is the only indian ever in my list of impressive cricketers)

In particular these four. We know our batting (except for the openers) isn’t that bad but our bowling attack is definitely not the same without Actor and Asif.
