is it worth visiting oslo durng the xmas period? how long would you reccomend and what are the attractions?

december might not be a good time except for christmas lights
there is the royal palace and the main pedestrian street with the tram
the ferry buses will not be running in the winter
the museum area is in the Bygov (sp?) peninsula
there is an outdoor heritage village with Stave churches (might be closed for winter)
also there is the ship museum with the viking longboats
