Zulaykha,
Russele Crowe (yummafying) is an Australian, sigh.

Aubergine FG? ![]()
Russel Crowe is a potatoe.
Russel Crowe, cousin of ex- New Zealander cricket captain Martin Crowe is indeed a Kiwi. But I think he has some connection with Australia as well. Not so sure.
Femme, did you just call me a ‘baingun’? ![]()
Never FG! You are my shimla mirch with your broad upper half and slimmer lower half with just the right amount of spice. You give me a heartburn at times too.
Billy Crystal’s intro video was funny as hell. I liked the part when it showed Billy was naked in the skit of Diane Keaton and Jack. That was some thing! ![]()
There were no surprises though as we have seen in couple of years. The Return of the King definitely deserved all the awards as the fans voted to crown this film as a great piece work. “Into The West” is as original song as it gets.
I liked when Adrian Prody checked his breathe before announcing who wins Best Actress award. It was a pure act of class and a very nice timing. He could have smooched Charlize had her boyfriend wasn’t in the ceremony. Ever since the Superbowl accident happened, the FCC has gone nuts. Why delay the ceremony for 5 seconds? Doesn’t the auidence love to watch unexpected stunt because that’s what big events like Grammy and Oscars are all about?
It was a good night for Sofia Coppla too who has became the first woman in Hollywood to be nominated in the “Best Director” category. Her work in “Lost In Translation” is simply amazing. I’m glad she won the award for Original Screenplay. I definitely see her in one of Hollywood’s top writers. Her work in “The Virgin Suicide” and “GodFather III” speaks for itself.
There is no question about Tim Robbins ability and Sean Penn definitely was a right winner. I think he was overdued. He should won the best actor award back in 1995 when played a leading role in “Dead Man Walking”.
But Tom Hanks for “Forrest Gump” couldn’t have overlooked back then.
The best dress IMO, was wear by Diane Lane. I am kinda surprised Jennifer Garner had more rating for an orange dress, eh? I’m no fashion guru but definitely it wasn’t impressive dress by all means.
Anyway, it was a good night. A night of styles, laughs and winners.
Unfortunately I didn't catch the entire show on TV so I'll have to watch the rerun tomorrow to comment on what they were wearing.
And what on earth has gotten in to Diane Keaton? Lately she has been dressing up weirdly. Whats with the gloves and hats and finally a tie!!!

Personally speaking.. I never liked Sean Penn.. He has such a long face and it just oozes depression. Compare that to the stylish and chuckling performance of Depp in Pirates... and in my view there was no comparison.
Then again, the Academy folks give more credance to artististry blah blah... so sure.. go ahead... award Penn. I am not going to see Mystic River any more today than I was gonna watch it yesterday.

Penn was the only political speaker I heard at the Oscars...his first words..something to the order of not finding WMDS.
Anyway.. He is an excellent actor.
Ever seen the movie Sweet and Lowdown about a fictional 1930's guitarist? Was a good movie.
