Who’s seen it? Is it worth watching?

Yup saw it yesterday...it's a very disturbing movie and has elements of bias (mostly it implies all the bad people are pashtun and all the good ones are farsi speakers)
Despite it's rating I think it's more for a adult audience it uses a lot of sequences to shock you and ..it's other problem is that it doesn't explain much about the background of afghanistan at the time.
All in all in my opinion it was a disappointment.
thanks Zakk, they might be showing the taliban were pushtun therefore all pushto speakers are bad..

I just watched this film and it was extremely depressing. 
what's the point of making such movies if theyv sworn not to elaborate on the serious issues that region had to face in the past 20 eras

TECHNICALLY.... Its a gr8 movie... worth watchig If U think U have the VIRUS of Film Critic :D
Very good locations... Sound Effects... Direction.. all outstanding.. Continuation in Story is.. good... Charectors are very good... Especially the GAL OSAMA had a very good perormance... The Makeup is very good.... U will feel like... all the ppl are realy what they are showing they are .. :)
NOW.... As far as the Other side is concern.. as ZAKK had mentioned... Its total piece of Sh**.. most of the movies is based on NOTIHNG.. I mean.. its Biased.. very much Biased... and the Biggest problem is the NAME Of the movie....
THe producer has chosen the name OSAMA for movie and.. It atracted the Audians.. BUT... when U watch the movie... U will feel like the name of the movie should not have been OSAMA.
Talibaan were extremists.. BUT.. in this movies.. they have shown it More than wat they were..
Secondly... The Target Audian can be only Pashtu or Dari Speaking ppl coz.. this film has lots of shots that are cultural and.. it has diff meanings... So.. only The ppl who know the culture understand wat the SHOT realy meant..

Highly depressing movie. I have never cried while watching any film but there are some disturbing and dramatic sequences. I for one couldn't take that entire shot when Osama was punished for climbing the tree and hung inside the well. The way that child cried, the moment was indeed heart wrenching.
To those who think there is some bias, well the first thing that came to my mind was that pashtuns would definitly target its Iranian/farsi connection. I wasn't wrong altogether. But hey, we need to learn to refer things as they are or were,i.e., a spade a spade. Talibans did ruin the lives of thousands of people with their brand of Islam.Now whether they spoke pashtu/dari or farsi; whther they were Tajik or Pashtuns,lets be honest, they did mess up many people's lives. I wouldn't want to judge it based solely on the ethinic factor. But that was the reality of life under Talibaan's, now whether there was a tinge of exagerration or the director has employed generalisations is a totally differnet subject. In my view, the fate of a Pashtun child wouldn't have been any different from a child of any other origin under that totalitarian regime.
As for the name, I think its very apt because keeping aside the irony and the OBL factor, it does a lot for the movie as a marketing gimmick

The most depressing movie of the decade.. it was released long time back.. I agree it was the name OSAMA that made me curious.. Still a good movie..
