my dearest pakistani friends
salam o alikum
pakistani television and STN have produced a lot of good and decent dramas. when you give an award to someone you always pick the best of the many best. So pick only one pakistani drama.
faraz: ladies and gentlemen, the award for best pakistani drama goes to (jeopardy music is on) TANHAIAN…hooray yay yay. I’ll wait for ur response!

Take nobody’s nonsense. The only time you should go down on your knees is when you pray.

Chand Girhan.
The first Drama bold enough to show the modern realities of Pakistani Society.
It was also entertaining.
Faryal Gauhar is Cute!

opppss....I meant Un kahi, not Tanhaian. Guess I mixed it up because of the same writer and actress. I never liked tanhaian.

Javed Shaikh was great...I still remember some of his lines when he was trying to win "her" over!!

Chand Girhan still stands as runner up!!

I watch Pakistani Dramas which my family and friends recommend to me...

The last one I remember watching was
Alpha Bravo Charlie (sequel to Sunehre Din).
Zabardasst!! :)Loved it!
I liked Sunehre Din too! (aa gayaa hai kyuun Kakul...complete the sentence ;))

It's hard for me to say what my single favourite would be...there are so many :
Starting from teh oldies :

Samundarr (I've watched this one at least 5 times).
Waaris (jiss ke lagney parr sunnaa hai Lahore ki sarkeyN khaali ho jayaa karti theeN !)
Ankahi (hanss hanss ke paagal ho gayaa thaa)
TanhaayiaaN (the only drama I've watched in one go!!)
Dhoop Kinare (touched the heart!)

Lately, I saw a very bold PTV drama called
Dhoop Mey Saawann. I thought it was very bold and issues of the youth have been portrayed so elegantly in this drama.

Well well drama's eh....aright here goes my top 5......

  1. Dhoop Kinare (simply elegent)

  2. Parchaiyan (Rahat Kazmi, Saira Kazmi, Talat Hussain, Shakeel)..the cast says it all yaar...its an oldie by todays standards but still..amazing absolutely amazing...

  3. Waaris ( a classic)

  4. Tanhaiyaan (a bit immature but still very entertaining)

  5. Democracy at work in Pakistan (its a drama yaar)

'Family front' (Saba Hamid, Wasim Abas) nahin dekha kisi ne, muqalme zabardast hain aur story kuch bhi nahin.

Duwaan
Doosra Aasmaan
Sona Chandi

for moi it will be

warris.....(choee saab aap yeh na karain..auhh(cough))

unkahi..(for the perfect blend of humour and the realities of life)

alpha bravo charlie(suited my interests in pak army)
