Hi..Can someone kindly explain the meaning of this sentence "for me being a conservative muslim means trying to conserve the original spirit and traditions of islam" . What is meant by original spirit and tradition of islam here? Thank you
I think only the original speaker can explain what he/she meant by it because it’s a matter of perspective.
Some may say it means to be good to other humans and animals while not praying, fasting etc.
Others may say praying, fasting, zakat etc are of utmost importance because they’re the pillars of islam.
There’ll also be a category which believes its a balance of both.
