Orient LED vs Samsung Plasma

Please give some advice, need to buy TV for bedroom, shortlisted two, Orient 40 inches LED TV and Samsung 43 inches Plasma 3D TV. Which one should i opt for? the LED technology is better than the Plasma but quality wise Samsung is much better so i am confused. Pls suggest.

why not Samsung LED? 40 in are passé - please go for at least 55 in

looking for my bedroom, 55 inches would be too big. Around 40 inches works best. Samsung 40 in LED would require more money, that i don’t want to spend at this point in time. Orient 40 LED and Samsung 43 in Plasma are both coming in same price range that i could go for.

I was thinking exactly same thing. I ended up buying samsung 43’’ plasma.

Things to consider:

  1. Orient LED is piss poor quality - will have crappy image - good image quality LEDs are twice the price.

  2. Plasma picture quality is very good - especially with low resolution signals (like cable tv)

  3. Only drawback of Plasma is u need to turn the lights dim to get an awesome picture.

So, having used it, i recommend u to buy samsung plasma.

If u have more specific qustions - ask me. I did research for 2 weeks before buying lol

I agree win with guupershupper. In just the brand comparison, I would go with Samsung

thanks, how is the image burn issue taken care of in Samsung Plasma? i am concerned because while watching cricket my TV remains switched on, on same channel for many hours. can that cause problem?

No problem. There are multiple features. Biggest one - it keeps slightly shifting the image so that the actual pixels displaying the picture keep chaning.

PS: How big is your room and viewing distance? because 40Inch plus screen looks good only if u view it from a distance. like 12 foot or more.

If u want to watch less than 12 foot distance. better get a 36inch screen with real high quality display - these orient shorient are crap.

my bedroom size is 16x18. so i assume that 40-45 inches could be best fit.
what samsung plasma model are you using?
