I have spent the entire afternoon organizing my closet which was seriously messy after my trip to Pakistan!
All desi and western clothes hanging properly! 
But cannot figure out what to do with the tons of shoes?
Any suggestions?

I have the shoe organizer (hanging ones) but they have space for 8 only!

my Bhabhi has the hanging one with pigeon type holes for about 50 pairs of shoes…it’s a bit bulky though…she bought it from Sears a couple of years ago…my neice has the same size but it stands in a corner in her walk in closet. it’s outer shell is printed cloth [heavy duty].

PG , when I had a large collection of shoes, I kept them in their boxes. I printed pics and that way was easier to see and pick without opening tons of boxes. I also grouped two or more sandals/ flip flops

I have some space underneath the stairs, so my husband put up shelves for me. On the shelves I’ve placed large plastic storage containers. I put each pair of shoes in a clear bag, and then into the box.
It works for me, as I don’t have the space for individual shoe boxes, but also keeps the pairs together and I can grab them quickly. I’ve grouped types of shoes together in each container, so the box closest to hand contains my work shoes and what I wear most frequently. The next one has summer sandals etc. Putting them in the bag also protects them from mildew (as long as the shoes are completely dry before they go into the bag), as it can be a bit damp under our stairs.
My fancier shoes, I keep in the original box, and stack on the shelf.

Underneath bed works too . You can put them in large rectangular boxes that fit under bed and pull out the ones you need. Group them together. The organizer that are sold by bed bath and beyond and other chains like Marshall’s and tj maxx are great closet and drawer organizers.

This is how I store my bags and shoes. Those big plastic boxes that slide under the bed are such space savers.

Yup I’ve seen those organizers/ clear boxes. They are very useful when it comes to storing things!
Will go look for them and maybe I can store the less worn ones in the basement and the dear ones under the bed!

I store all my shoes in their original boxes, in the cold room within my basement. I just cannot make myself to put worn shoes in my closet (which is carpeted).
Gives me more room to store boxes of makeup instead

get storage box from ikea I put all extra stuff there n there it goes under my bed
