I am settling in to my new place slowly but i am really struggling with organization for my makeup, perfumes and brushes. Please suggest what I can purchase to organize my makeup supplies and brushes in one place. I purchased some medium cardboard boxes but all my makeup mixes together and it looks very unorganized.
Re: Organizing makeup and brushes
Did you check a Helmer or Alex drawer units from Ikea? I organize mine in Copco organizers which are actually for kitchen utensils but they hold makeup so well!
I use 2 of these and they are extremely long:
They’re about 12" by 16". I have almost 50+ blushes that fit in that long section and the shorter section w/ the butter knife combined, so you can get an idea of how much it can hold.

M- I need something a bit bigger. I think this will work for my eye shadows and brushes but not lipsticks, nail polish, foundations and blush.
Re: Organizing makeup and brushes
I have quite a big stash and two of those hold my foundations, eyeshadows, lipsticks and blush. I use a pencil holder (two of them) for my brushes, one is for eye brushes and the other is for face brushes. I use a Rubbermaid drawer for my polishes. I’ll try taking pictures to show you.
I really want a ClearCube, though. They are kinda expensive but I really want it for my stash. Muji drawers are also great for makeup organizing.
Clearcube:
There are replicas which are half the price. Muji drawers are also cool:

oh that's awesome.. that's exactly what I need. Thanks M! Is there a website I can order this from?
Re: Organizing makeup and brushes
Yes, do tell! I have my makeup all stuffed in boxes and rummage through them every morning.

^Here are the links:
Original ClearCube (it became all the rage in the beauty community after the Kardashian girls were seen using it in their show):
That’s Kim Kardashian’s CC, she has 2. Her sisters and mother have them as well. I think they are perfect for girls with small/medium sized stashes since you can see everything and they are quite deep and sturdy, not acrylic-y or cheap. And you can customize them by adding in dividers or getting a deeper drawer so you can even put bottles of foundation etc.
And there are a few replicas on eBay as well.
And then there are the Muji drawers that are pictured in my post above. In the picture, there are three 5-drawer and one 2-drawer (4 units in total) which are stacked to host the makeup. You can buy Muji drawers from here.
