i want to organize cultural events in mississauga. i recently organized a south east asian open air concert. Now i want to do something different. I am thinking of organizing a basant but i needed some information on it. or if any one has any other ideas or suggestions regarding it then please feel free to say so..

You could do a mini desi festival thing where you could get henna ( mehndi) artists, food stalls, singer/ comedian, clothes stalls, makeup artists whom people pay and get their makeup done 
( yes i’m serious).

BKG how about an event that show cases Pakistani fashion and weddings? You could portray a desi mehndi, shadi, reception via a fashion show?

thats what i did...and i cant do a pakistani /wedding show..coz abhii itna barda show organize main akailay nahi ker sakhtii..and abhi ek show organzie kiya tha and i lacked support from others..i need a break..lol..issliyee kuch easy soch rahi hoon:). Kerna

Does it have to be a south-asian specific event? I remember in my university, one of the desi clubs did something called "Unity Through Diversity" where they had performances (cultural) from different places of the world and food booths where people could try foods from different cultures.
I know it's probably a large-scale event idea but you could keep it simple and just do food booths from different cultures OR fashion accessories of different cultures.
OR how about antaakshri (desi karaoke)?
