Organic/natural skincare

Has anyone tried organic and/or natural skin care ?

As in, face creams/serums etc that have no chemicals and toxins of any sort ??

I have been recently looking into this very much, I already use a mixture of oils in my skincare and am LOVING IT (it has completely transformed my skin) :aisha::aisha::aisha::aisha:

However, now that I want to start incorporating more of the face creams etc into my routine, I am wondering what I should do about all of the stuff I currently have (that is not natural at all) .. and I am a bit of a beauty junkie, so I have alot. Some are used, but barely, and others are still new. and I don’t want to use them up either because of all the checmicals in them … sigh it seems like such a waste now

Re: Organic/natural skincare

^ You don't know any females (friends, cousins, mom etc.) who would be willing to use the stuff you have?

Re: Organic/natural skincare

not any family, besides my mom.. I guess I will give them to her

Re: Organic/natural skincare

I tried it a long time back, in my teens, because of break outs. The cleansers were probably okay but the moisturizers were never good enough, either too greasy or too light. I use the Philosophy cleanser, I am sure it is not completely natural but it uses natural oils to an extent and does a great job of keeping me acne free. I don't even think it is expensive, just get their biggest bottle and it lasts me like 6 months lol

Re: Organic/natural skincare

Well if your mom is willing to use them and you don't have any friends who would use them, then yes, give them all to your mom so none of it is wasted.

As for natural skin care, I've been using oils to moisturize/take off make-up for a while now. I've also bought pure shea butter online and loved it. But for other stuff (creams/make-up etc.), I use the regular stuff.

Re: Organic/natural skincare

shea butter is really good for skin ... I am going to make a semi-solid version of the OCM method to start washing my face with ... and I use rosehip oil/hemp oil mix to moisturize my skin with every night ...

I stopped buying fancy cleansers a long time ago, cuz it's such a waste.. you are literally washing it down the drain, so to me it's worthless

Re: Organic/natural skincare

maybe try again - it didn't work for you back then, maybe it will now. and maybe it was the specific product you were trying that didn't work.

The thing with commercial products is that they are composed little of actual good ingredients (like vitamin e, or c, or shea butter, etc etc), and more of fillers and chemicals that are sooo bad for your skin !!

if you want a moisturizer with vitamin e for example, then why not get the pure stuff whipped with shea butter (for oily skin) or cocoa butter (for dry skin) etc etc...

I make my own, and I plan on selling them in the near future.. I can't tout enough about how much better it is to go natural. Some natural things can be irritating to the skin, yes, but you just need to find the right balance

Re: Organic/natural skincare

that's awesome ... but I would encourage you to start using more natural things ... if you look at the ingredients label on an average moisturizer, you would be surprised how many chemicals, vs how many actually potent are in there

Re: Organic/natural skincare

It's a old post but i hope this will you, I have also used organic Products and oils. These works for me. You can buy them form spa in bottle and Duivi's bamboo daily scrub.

Re: Organic/natural skincare

I love oils. I think they really help my skin alot, along with acids.. not organic i know, but they do a great job of cleaning out my skin so my oils can do their job !!
