Skin grafting, face transplant because of disfigured face is a matter of life and death in a way. One has the lowest quality of life if one is living with a disfigured face.

Islam is not there to let people die or live low quality life. It allows you to take advantage of all the advancement of medical science. Do it when ever you can. Just check with an aalim to be sure.

Sadly not many people from our community would donate their organs.
If they needed an organ urgently however, they'd probably be the first in the queue for one.
