Mods I know this topic may fit better else where but please let it stay here in Life1 as the most colorful crowd of GS roams around these corridoors.

So my question is are you against organ donation or not?

If you are for it then would consider signing up as an organ donor and donate your organs when deceased?

If you are against it, then if for example your mom/dad/husband/wife is dying and need a heart transplant, would you decline it since well your against the whole concept ?

what kind of organ? Pipe organ, Church Organ, Electric Organ? .... I am definitely open towards these donations. In fact if you go to Craigslist free section of your town, you will find many people donating their organs.

Nop, not against it and yup if I die then wouldn't have a problem giving them away

i m all for organ donation, but i know we aren't suppose to donate according to islam (dont knw the reason).

Actually there are debating views on it and some people are against it and some not. My question is basically if you're against it then would be against accepting one as well or are people hypocritical in that sense

I am against it for my own use.... if i was dying slowly from some heart wound or disease then so be it i deserve a slow and painfull death...

However i'm assured by some scholas and Muslims clerics and authoritarians that organ donation is okay....

I find it hard to allow myself to live with someone elses blood or organs... i refused my best friends blood and recovered thank Allah.

But later i gave my blood to another friend so it's okay... for people if they are okay with it.

If between you and the lord it's okay then go ahead.

If i was dying i doubt i would have any choice in the matter... if someone tried to save me then i would be thankfull but if i was to be left to die then i would also accept it even if it were slow and painfull.

My dad receive kidney from his sister 10 years ago, it wasn’t haraam at that time though.. :chai: ..

I donated my organ off and on during college..

I am all for organ donation and am registered as an organ donor.

selling of organ is, their is even a law passed by parliament of Pakistan few years ago..

It is haram in Islam but to save lives, haram becomes halal. Bottom line is, organ/blood donation is only allowed when its a matter of life and death.

can you please not repeat just what you have heard.......
there must be something that caused you to believe this.....did you read up on it? did you investigate it or do you just blindly believe it cuz you heard.....

So.....in the case of donation for the purpose of study/learning.....from your explanation that would be haram, correct?

And if someone needed eyes and I passed away donating them....would they be defying Islam by accepting them since they can still live without sight?
