well the website that you mentioned - i know the mufti that answered that question. and he’s a very well educated imam/scholar, so i will believe what he says about organ donation. thanks for the link
and nope..no selling of the organs. i was just curious to know about donating them to help someone else out.
if i need a blood transfusion or organ transplant, i'm not gonna ask them where it came from before they put it in me. it's a matter of life or death..
ur rite smilestar but i just have got ma own believes. I m a paranoid person, if i give some non-muslim ma orgnas i will just go crazy about how they are using ma kidney or heart (drinking, eating prok)whtever and the same reason go for not recieving um either. I cant help it i m just like that
it’s not like it’s something you made or invented that you can sell if for $$ - it was given to you by Allah..you shouldn’t take advantage of it and make money.
and i’m talking about donating your organs after you’ve died. you can only sell your organs while you’re still alive…
who said about keeping money for yourself..., and my last statement also applies if the person is dead.
Example 1: Person A (alive) - Sells an Organ. The Organ is Used to save someone life. Money gained from sale is used for charity (almsgiving).
Example 2: Person B (dead) - Agreed to Sell an Organ. The Organ is Used to save someone life. Money gained from sale is used for charity (almsgiving) by relatives.
.... why, am i too hard to understand?, or are you unable to grab the simple concept of Islam (Giving and Saving life)
i think that it's a good idea. as long as they're not tearing you apart for scientific purposes, but if your kidney could help save someone's life..then why not?
I said i was unsure bcos i don't remember the answer they gave me (it was ages ago), but i believe they told me it was not rite Islamically...i duno...i think it's a good idea, but then again i wudn't go against my family's wishes...i think they don't want it on paper that's all...i think they want the CHOICE, so that IF God forbid that situation does arise, they can decide at the time...rather than having it planned out and on paper (license etc.) and giving authorites the rite to do anything with my body. I think it's about keeping the choice private. Or perhaps, they don't like the idea of having my body cut up...in which case who can blame them. Very sensitive issue esp. at that emotional time u know, and well, lots of families don't wana talk about anything to do with death anyway.
u gotta keep in mind that the organs that u have isnt urs...its all Allah's given...and if u donate it to someone non muslim ( even though u wont know who its donated to ) u will get swaab for it , becuz u help somoene's life.. and then once its donated to the person.....its up to them to take care of it.. if he/she eat pork..drinks...let him/her... why would u get upset for? it aint no longer urs..
ps: do u donate money only to needy people or also to african needy people?..who are non-muslim?
Reasons “organ donation” is prohibited in general are many, 2 of them:
Body belongs to Allah :swt:, you are required to take care of it, you are not “owner” of it.
After death, we as Muslims believe that the person still feels the pain thats why we are supposed to handle dead bodies carefully. Imagine how painful would it be for you if an organ is removed while you are alive.
A pic from the triplets’ 4th birthday last week. The beautiful little girl you see in the middle, shes the most sharaarti and badmaash of em all.
She also happens to be the recipient of a donor heart flown in from Philadelphia to Toronto’s Sick Kids Hospital, less than 24 hours after her birth. Without a donor program in place, she wouldnt have been there.
Good or not, in the end it saved a life. Think about it, is keeping one of our parts intact for the Afterlife more important than saving someone’s life? Our body is entrusted to us by Allah and we are expected to take care of it, i.e. do not harm ourselves and do not self mutilate. However if we can use this gift to save someone else’s life then i dont see how Allah ta’ala will mind.
I do not have a verdict on this issue but everytime i see this little girl i get more and more torn on this matter.
why can't things just be simple? we always end up making them more complicated than need be.
i hope the person that donated this heart to the little girl..may he/she be rewarded for what they've done..
imagine the happiness that this girl brings to her parents every day...
if our intention is pure - that the only reason we're donating the orga is to help someone else live..then what's so wrong with that?
