In order to avoid this conflict of interest, the doctor treating the patient is never the one who assess him for transplant. And the doctor of the patient who needs transplantaion cannot be involved in organ donation procedure at all. So the treating doctor is different than the one who'll assess if u are suitable for organ donation.

That is a good piece of information Iconoclast. It really does give peace of mind:).
