Good question. A huge part of The Arrivals videos is based on the “orbs”. 
Don’t know how they come into a photograph though. Try posting in RKS. Professional/Savvy Photographers might have some idea about it.
PS: Could be dust particles. If i’m right, i’m owed a quarter for every time someone uses this answer.

Firstly its called Canvas (not RKS). 
Second “orbs” are just any items that gets in the field of view which are totally out of focus (focus would be on the subject). So not something to spend time on, considering even the photographer didn’t think enough of it to bothering focusing on.
