Orange lipstick anyone?

Re: Orange lipstick anyone?

^ pretty what are they bebo?

Re: Orange lipstick anyone?

I know it’s not quite orange, but I didn’t want to open another thread. :halo: Can anybody suggest a nice peachy colour? I’m NC25 with verrrryyy pigmented lips for reference.

I’ve been considering Revlon’s Smoked Peach for a while; every Google picture looks amazing…nice and subtle with the right amount of peach. However, it’s very bright in real life. I was very shocked when I swatched it on my hand. It’s more of a salmon colour. I wonder if it will look better on? Has anybody got it?

Re: Orange lipstick anyone?

^MAC’s ravishing lipstick, it’s a light peachy/coral..really pretty. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KNRNa-9jiy8/TieXy-zKNWI/AAAAAAAADXc/Xe7xaCXg-C4/s400/DSC02109%2Bcopy.jpg

Re: Orange lipstick anyone?

any drugstore dupe of the above? :halo:

Re: Orange lipstick anyone?

ok got it :D
MAC ravishing = revlon colorburst peach

Re: Orange lipstick anyone?

I find peachy lipsticks too light for me, they just look sheer half the time. Unless I wear some lipliner/foundation underneath :(

Re: Orange lipstick anyone?

same with me mady^ currently i dont own any peach/coral lipstick.. wil try the revlon peachy IA

Re: Orange lipstick anyone?

^I have that, it's pretty but very sheer. Sheer lipsticks looks better in though in the summertime, if you want it to be more opaque, just apply a nude lipliner all over your lip before applying the lipstick...this will keep the lipstick on longer also.

Re: Orange lipstick anyone?

^ thanks yar  which nude pencil do you recommend? which one is better revlon or nyx??

Re: Orange lipstick anyone?

^No prob :) I love NYX's lipliners, they have a wide variety of nude/light pink lipliners that are so nice on their own, I don't even use lipstick on top sometimes. I don't know the names off the top of my head, i'll let you know once I get home from school

Re: Orange lipstick anyone?

I really like orange lipsticks, I feel they suit my skin tone really well. I have a few from MAC:

"So Chaud"- I wore this lipstick a lot during the winter months, it's a deep orange with a matte finish. It's honestly beautiful especially if you have fair skin and dark hair.

"Vegas Volt"- I only wear this in the summer, I feel I can only wear it when I have a tan as it has the tendency to wash me out. It's a bright coral-orange.

"Watch me simmer"- I purchased this a few months ago and it's a crazy fluoro coral-orange, definitely not for people who aren't comfortable wearing bright colours! I love it though, such a fun summery colour.

These colours are bright, but they're definitely wearable. I think the key is to keep the rest of your makeup minimal, I usually just wear mascara and some bronzer while wearing these lipsticks.

As for peach toned lipsticks, I have "Ravishing" and "Shy Girl" from MAC. "Shy Girl" is the perfect peachy nude for my skin tone, it tones down my natural lip colour without washing me out. "Ravishing" turns more orange than peach on my pigmented lips.

Re: Orange lipstick anyone?

^I agree, orangey lipsticks look amazing on most desi's. I just googled "watch me simmer" OMG, so pretty and bright! looks like a lighter version of impassioned which I also really like.

Re: Orange lipstick anyone?

^ i dont have a courage to pull off that lipstick …woudl it suit NC35 :konfused:

Re: Orange lipstick anyone?

^Sure, i'm NC30-35 and i'd wear it!

Re: Orange lipstick anyone?

awww really thanksss yarrrrrrrr u r a starrr :)

Re: Orange lipstick anyone?

Has anybody tried applying eyeshadow or blush on their lips? Does that work? I love 'Life's A Peach' by Sleek and was thinking whether I could apply that to my lips too...

Re: Orange lipstick anyone?

I sometimes apply a little of NARS Exhibit A blush to my nude lipstick, I love how it makes it look.

Re: Orange lipstick anyone?

i havent but want to what skin colour does it usually suit well?

Re: Orange lipstick anyone?

^ I think oranges look great with all desi skin tones. How you pick the right shade is beyond me though. :bummer:
