please share you lipstick shade and your MAc skin tone..also recommend some shade for my NC35 skin tone :slight_smile:

hmm .. i’d also like to know. Im an NC 45 so wonder if it will look good.

I have seen a lot of arab girls wear it. Even those with like brown /darker skin tones. And it looks quite good.

I have only just started wearing reds and fuchsias since a year or two. Wanna try the orange now.

I just bought YSL Lipgloss shade 6 which is Orange toned but not as pigmented as others - a good one to start with? I quite like it - Im NC 35-37

It is by Estee Lauder. I think its called Pure Color Red Velvet.

U know I never wear lipgloss. My hair ALWAYS gets caught up in it. I don’t even own any. And my lips stick to each other… ugh.. messy messy

LOL I hear you - after wearing the YSL one for a few days i remembered why i had stopped wearing gloss!! strictly for nights out only - not windy london commutes to work!!

but Payal newer glosses are much better - less sticky

Ugh, coloured lipgloss, it gets in my hair and then makes lines on my cheeks!
I just bought my first orange lipstick 3 weeks ago! I originally thought I could buy a coral colour and it would be just as good, but orange is definitely a shade you have to get. Has to be matte though. Which took me a while to find, but I did :DI bought Hot Chilli 17 Lasting Lipstick, I wore it out for the first time a week ago, with a peach blush and a little bit of liquid eyeliner and mascara.

I bought the revlon lip butter a while ago in the Tutti Frutti shade, it’s not too orangey but not sure if it suits me :confused:

I love the revlon lip butter line, I hate the look of lipsticks on me and i’m ok with a gloss and found this line to be a happy medium.

I have an orange like lipstick from nars in barbarella

And i’m a fan of orange blush as you can sorta see in this pic here…excuse the poor quality it’s a camera phone pic

soft oranges work on everyone, I have worked on college fashion shows, and talent shows and helped others get ready. red oranges are like red, very tricky and needs a good liner, soft oranges are good to go without liner and on most skin tones even extremely dusky skin.

Red-oranges are hard just like red is to pull off but if anything grab an orange gloss and experiment and go from there.

I was just going to mention that one! I saw some girls on youtube wearing it and had to get it. It's a little bright but really pretty!

For someone who doesn't like lipstick too bright, I sometimes mix MAC's Velvet Teddy with this and it looks a bit toned down and even better.
