How correct are mystical predictions about Pakistan? | DAWN.COM

Its about the prophecies made by Mumtaz Mufti based on his claimed interaction with Sufis who could see in future. Mumtaz Mufti in his book ‘Alakh Nagri’ also said that in 1965 war, there were some saints in green pagris who fought on Pakistan’s side and probably caught bombs from Indian side.

The article also discuss the prophecies about the bright future of Pakistan by Shah Naimatullah as under:

What do you think about such optimistic writings? Do they serve any purpose or just keeping the readers in delusion that ‘Sab acha hai’?

Re: Optimist writers and future of Pakistan

one can’t simply post such a topic without mention of zaid “laltopi” hamid’s ghazwa-e-hind originating out of the ancient land of khorosan, which has recently migrated south from balkh into NWFP. :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: Optimist writers and future of Pakistan

Ninja, I’m just angry on false hopes. These writers don’t address immediate concerns of the nation and promote the ideas revealed on them in hallucination state :bummer:

Re: Optimist writers and future of Pakistan

yes you are right brother...if we will address our present peoperly then we have a chance of a bright future Inshallah....

I like only one thing in his views is that he accepts that muslim are one ummah...

Re: Optimist writers and future of Pakistan

And how this notion that Muslims are one Ummah practically affects Muslims all over the world. If we look at history, did Muslim countries ever helped other Muslim countries in difficult times?

Re: Optimist writers and future of Pakistan

Why not

one example-Indonesia,turkey helped pakistan during war against India…
and remember all the rulers of muslim countries are not pious one to help each other…
if they did not help other muslim country does that means muslim are not one ummah?
that will be like calling all pakistanis corrupt because zardari is corrupt…
you have more knowledge about islam than me…Did not Hazrat Muhammad:saw2: call muslim as one nation?

Re: Optimist writers and future of Pakistan

Yes the Prophet :saw2: taught about the oneness of Muslims by avoiding discrimination between Arab & Non-Arab, but how the future course of discrimination goes just after his death (I’m referring to Banu Hashim and Banu Ummayads) tells us that only Prophets can unite nations on the basis of religion.

Re: Optimist writers and future of Pakistan

I know we will never be united till appearance of Hazrat Mahdi…
but I want to be believer in unity of muslims rather than races or nationalities…:frowning:

Re: Optimist writers and future of Pakistan

But Patriotism and nationalism are not forbidden in Islam to the extent they don't create bias and cruelty to others.

Coming to the topic of the thread, are there any optimist writers in India which portray rosy future of the country ignoring current issues of society?

Re: Optimist writers and future of Pakistan

there is different between 65 and 71, it was pakistan who initially launched Operation Gibraltar failing which it launched Operation Grandslam culminating in Indo-Pak war, India even got Haji Pir Pass in this war, India was caught off guard in 65 but in 1971 India monitored situation brilliantly and prepared for it, Pakistan messed with Indira's baap ki jagir called India in her Dada ki Jagir, kashmir, she destroyed Jagir of pakistan:), she was dangerous to Indians as much as to Pakistan as well:D

India plays war brilliantly, India opens all front simultaneously diplomatic, political and economic and operates on it, In Pakistan, millitary doesn't have any faith on its civil bureaucracy, hence whatever India loses militarily it gains it back politically, In kargil they gained back more diplomatically than militarily:) while since years back Indian are capturing Siachen through force:D

India has so many Senas and Pakistan has so many lashkars, it is better if these two eliminate dengue from Pakistan & India than controlling India for 800 years where one is equally likely to get killed by Machhars:D, problem of Pakistan is from dengue to drone not drone to dengue:D, dengue can be eliminated and it is entirely on communities will power than drone and one is more likely to die due to dengue than drone.Pakistan should concentrate on this as they don't have luxury of deepawali:)

Unlike these saints, sufis, babas, Edhi saheb may not have any prophesies to make but he has a vision. I am more thankful to Edison, Babbage, grahmbell than sufis, babas and saint:)

Re: Optimist writers and future of Pakistan

There is another writer of Pakistan Ashfaq Ahmed (my personal favourite) who promoted harmony (although he in his character Talqeen Shah remained very much against Indian Army). As per Ashfaq Sahib's theory, Baba is not necessarily to be an old age man having a Dargah, but it can any person of any age, who contributed positively to human society. He considers all the scients (including the Non-Muslims) as Baba for human society.

Re: Optimist writers and future of Pakistan

Indian Army is just order taking machine, and people here thinks that they can solve political problem through military, East Pakistan, Kashmir, Naxals, Balochistan are political problem, millitary is not trained to fight political war, it is to be fought politically simultaneously as well. When drones attack on pakistan it challenges Pakistan sovereignty but when Karachi burns due to ethnic difference why isn't this is considered as grave as drone, likewise pakistani need not to send terrorist in India, a good number will die through various disease and scarcily of right resource and right time:), Indian women dies at the time of delivery or many a times killed in womb.

Delhi's infamous blueline used to kill more people than terrorist in the year, but ISI was Delhi's problem:D

Re: Optimist writers and future of Pakistan

As our Pakistani writers make fool of people by introducing prosperous future prophecies (like ruling India and all), how Indian writers supporting Akhand Bharata play with the readers?

Re: Optimist writers and future of Pakistan

Indians wants to become superpower, the inspiring APJ Abdul Kalam wrote the book Vision 2020, a welfare state culminating into economic superpower:) He wants India to succeed in all fronts in future and Vision 2020, is his vision of India, it is not some impractical prophesies made by some sufi but by a missile scientist.

Akhand Bharat is more in right wing theology, mostly in RSS, It was right wing hindu organization who initially proposed two nation theory but now they call for Akhand Bharat because of regular prophesies of Gazwa-e-Hind and bleeding india by thousand cuts etc:)

Writers have shifted to more practical writings especially Chetan Bhagat and Amish Tripathi who are very popular with youth, 3 Idiots was inspired by Chetan's book, soon there will be movie on Amish's "Immortals of Melhua" as well:)
