Why does the most vital learning period of one’s life coincide with a blinding obession with the opposite sex?

But why would a vital learning period have to deal w. obsession. More like an infatuation since NOOO one is really obsessed w. just one individual throughout that entire learning period. But what are they learning, is it more of a personal stake or more worldly???
It could be infatuation, but what if someone just obssess about some certain indivdual? It could be both personal and worldly. I mean personal hai to apna faida aur worldy hai to dosroon ko faida apse...Right YUMU?

and lifes vital learning period isnt the same for everyone.. some never go thru till they are sitting with their paon latka in a qabar...hence it doesnt neccessarily concide with blindin obseeion maybe in ur view it does.. but not in everyone elses case.. besides ab sab itne bhi bewaqoof nahi ;)

Personal advantage, I agree it depends on the person... with obsession, a person always learns... there is a variance/gradiant in obsessions, thus a gradient in learning... but what does one learn in obsession. In obsession one does not have self-consciousness, thus no individual learning.. Others can learn from viewing this sort of obsession.
Worldly advantage, I see none, other than entertainment and amusement. But are we the ones who are obsessed?

our youth is the time when one's curosity (and harmones) are on their peak. we crave the opposite sex, thanks to the movies as well as living examles of our mauhalay ki laila and majnoon, as soon as we are old enough to be ..... attractive? whatever!
and thats also the time when one is on the learning stage of life, wether moral, intellectual or emotional. so they clash...sometimes for the good but mostly for the bad!
