Guys, just want to say thank you to you all.... I still can't believe how helpful everyone is on these forums and how everyone comes together to help somoene out!! Thank you all for your advice... it was all very much appreciated and it has helped!! I don't think I will have that song as my walk in song..... can just imagine my fiance's aunties etc getting all annoyed and making comments (my MIL is lovely... she would never say anything).... I can just imagine the aunties saying something and then I would get all upset and it would just ruin my wedding for me.... I will have it played on the day though (hehehehe)..... will maybe stick with Maula mere maula as it will always be a great song..... the music is just lovely so I think that's my first choice (for the time being) :)
Decisions, decisions.... God, how I just want to elope!!!! :)

it is your wedding and yeah who cares, cuz they'll be too busy checking out the bride but unfortuntely it does matter.. its like equivalent to shirk.. and some people might not be ok with that.. other than that to each its own..
the option of using the instrumental is a good idea too, teri ore is an amazing song.. i wish it had released before my wedding i would've definitely used it..

i really like the song “Tujh mein rab dikhta hai” as well but it can be controversial…

I also like “Bakhuda tumhi ho” i think its such a beautiful sooooong :wub:

oooohhh, that song is nice too Littleangel..... it's sooo cute!!! I think I might just have Maula mere maula (even though it's been done a million times) .... or maybe teri ore..... (ok, I still haven't decided)

why is it a problem to put a particular song on your entrance? waisay ham sab suntay hein, sab dekhtay hain .... magr then create an issue out of nothing that people will think it's unislamic .... to me it's just plain weird .... chahay normal dinoun mein ye gana sunno ya entrance per lagao ... baat to aik he hai ... it's just a song ... everything depends on niyyat ... and our niyyat is just to create a nice and romantic mood, not to literally find God in a human being ...

i agree. i think that many times we focus on what will offend others. and certainly we should be not to offend are guests but there is a balance we should maintain. if it is unreasonable than we should continue using the song of our choice or what not. if the song isn't screaming racist or prejudice remarks against anyone or these aunties than i see no harm in it.
also many times we are the ones offended at weddings (the young generation). i was at an engagement party a few weeks ago and some guy got up and started talking about how gay people are evil. Many guests at the party including myself were deeply offended by his boasting of ignorance needless to say he was not censored.

i thought that "MERAY SUNG" from the movie new york. i m also suggesting brides to enter th venue with this song. so plz change something . its very unique no one goes for that song . but honestly woh kehtay hein k aik ajeeb sa samaa bun jata hai venue per is ganay say, thanks
