Opinions needed

Which style do you think is more flattering, especially if your one the curvier side?

A long straight shirt with straight pants, or an anarkali ( not the ones with too much ‘gher’..the A-line sort)?

I have my heart set on an anarkali, but am being told that it might make me look heavier? Is that true? :bummer:

Re: Opinions needed

i like te idea of anarkali

Re: Opinions needed

Wear it if you want - it all depends on how the outfit is cut and how you hold it.
sinch it a little higher then you're waiste and you'll look thinner.

Re: Opinions needed

^ yeah thanks you guys , thats what I'm thinking too, but now its in my head!
which one do you think is more flattering in general?

Re: Opinions needed

i would say the anarkali's are a little out now -

how about something with the same style but not completely a anarkali
like an angraka (i think thats what they are called) that have a wrap around tie at the top of the neck --

Re: Opinions needed

Never heard of angraka... Can someone post a pic of this, please? :@:

Re: Opinions needed

anarkaliiii!

Re: Opinions needed

Yeah that used to be in when I was 8 or 9.
I remember when I wore that to my cousins wedding .Dont want to be reminded of that
I vill show you the anarakali in my blaaag

Re: Opinions needed

Something like this
http://bargello.com/Hot+Pink+Clara-343-Anarkali-107-3446.htm

but w/ no distinct seperation of the waist and there is a little tie on the upper left usuall

OMG there was a perfect on righ here on GS somehwere!

Re: Opinions needed

nooo.. are anarkalis getting out of fashion now? :(

i will still buy one next year and hopefully wear it sometime :@:

The fitted bodice of an anarkali..with the flair at the bottom is ideal for "curvy" people..

Re: Opinions needed

I would do a fitted anarkali - pleats in the back and on the side on the top.
