opinions needed

ok, this is a horrific story but one that I have much sympathy for. Please, if some of you have the time to read thru and understand the whole thing, please tell me what you think. This mother needs support I THINK but I’m not sure and I value opinions here…if you could take the time, I’d appreciate!

Re: opinions needed

hmm i m confused! shudnt the healthcare provide aid for parents with such kids who have these rare conditions? did the mother not get the kid checked anytime in these 4 yrs? if she did, than howcome at that time they didnt find out that he wasnt properly taken care of?......if she never took him for any checks in all these years than she is ofcourse responsible for the mess.

Re: opinions needed

Thats the whole thing here....she moved to another state and took her child to a new doc, one who had no clue as to what Miller dieker syndrome was. He called the police, he called child protective services and he told the world that this was "the worst caise of neglect that I;ve seen in 30 years". THAT started the whole saga of her arrest on felony child-abuse charges, death threats against her and well just take a look at what some of these yokels are saying.

Yes, the mother as young as she is, was a member of the national lissencephaly org and took care of him around the clock (apparently) to the best of her ability - most kids with this affliction die before age 2 yet her son has made it so far to age 4. Yet he WILL die (and soon) because his body is not able to process nutrients so yes he will starve to death - no matter HOW much food is poured into his G-tube.

Seems to me that she is in a rural and ignorant area and is being tortured over things that they dont understand.....

mamaof 3 I agree with you, its ignorance on their part.
I am annoyed to hear about that Nancu Grace and her sarcastic remarks, she needs to eat crow and eat it quickly
