ya gold would look great actually, but if you are not comfortable with that what about a light coral, a nude pink, light pistachio color?
if you wanna do a dark color how about a navy or black?

Beige and baby blue would be the combination for me but you can go with whatever suits your skin tone. It is really gorgeous though, nice choice:k:

Oh and i had coral in mind as the outer gown and dupatta. but the right shade of it is very hard to get.so i am not too sure about that either.

I'm thinking of getting this dress made for my reception in a cream and gold combo with magenta trim and a magneta dupatta. I'm all about accent dupatta's right now.

@terebina786, u say ur having the dress made in cream and gold combo, may I ask which part of the dress is gold and which is cream? I was thinking something similar (except the magenta) so having the gown in cream and the inside part in gold, with maybe a gold dupatta, just can't decide urrghh!! Are u having the dress made by the original designer or are u having a replica made? Either way when will ur dress be ready for as I would LOVE to see a pic if you wouldn't mind sharing before I place my order, to get an idea of how the dress looks in those colours.
@dragonlady, ofcourse I don't mind u discussing the same dress in my thread, if anything it's made me realise how popular the style is and made me like it even more.. It's funny becz my original choice was always to have to whole gown in coral, but a few ppl managed to put me off saying too much coral won't look good and instead I should consider just having the inside material in coral or dupatta, but yea don't be put off as I was, i'm sure it will still look lovely, but if u were to have the gown in coral what colour would u go for with the inside material? That was another 1 of my dilemmas with coral. Do let me know when u've decided :)

Farha... I haven't fully decided yet but its definitel in the running for my reception dress. I'm going to get it replicated. I want the cream on the outside and the gold on the inside... I think the gold on the outside would be a bit much for me.

i was thinking a shimmery gray may be,but that would probably dull it really down. also what do you call coral in urdu or in the language that the kaarigar's or adda wala's get :) ? what other color options did you have in your mind? so far i like that same burnt orange and purple, coral and shimmery gray, pink and off white. i wish i had to decide for my valima and my MIL would do my baraat jora instead. that would have been so much easier as i am an earthy tone/nude shades person myself. don't really have a good eye for bright vibrant colors.
and for your reception, i really like the idea of cream and gold :)

I don’t know why the dress doesn’t look as pretty as it does in black. Or do you think it’ll look better worn by someone?
