Girls I saw this outfit somewhere on GS earlier posted in some bridals thread. I thought it was quite pretty.
Today I was out for a proper bridal hunt. Went to Zardozi, Libas-e-Khas, HSY Karma. I even went to dupatta gali. HSY and Karma’s designs have been totally ripped like anything. Totally rullofied IMO! And most of them were starting from the range of 80k.
I saw the same outfit as in the picture below today. I thought it looked equally nice in real.
All I wanted to know was how old this design is. If I get it made I would definitely go for a longer shirt. Or is it too typical??
If you were in my place, would you make any amendments to it or go for it as it is? Or you wouldnt go for it at all? honest opinions please
I don’t want to spend more than 1lac PKR on my bridal as it is hardly worn afterwards.
For my bridal...I kept my shirt long and filled it with kaam so I could wear it again over trousers later. I kept the kaam on the bottom minimum. Plus, LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG shirts are IN now!!!!
I dont like knowing I cant wear an outfit I paid so much for!
So, thats my suggestion...figure out a way to make the shirt longer so it can be used again.

I agree Reha with the long shirt suggestion. What about this dress? Should I go for it ? or is it too typical?
long shirt or not..is your choice. but i like the dress. if i really really wanted to make the amendment i'd just fill up the bottom (gharara in the centre) cuz i noticed there's kaam on the border only so maybe get a motif or sth in the centre of the gharara..i really like hte top and dupatta.
I think its really nice, where did you see it?
i personally dont like too much work covering the whole bottom, so wuld remove all of it and keep the border. Of course make the shirt long…and keep it full.
Also, the range you mentioned, is that for karma as well???
Its a gorgeous colour combo. It is traditional but you can definitely update it with whats in style right now like the long shirt that you can later wear with trousers. I also think the lehga needs a little bit more kaam cuz I feel its a little plain but that also depends on how it will look on you. I am going for something similar except that my shirt will be green. I think its very nice and you can definitely update the style a little bit.

I saw this at Think Pink. Some of the other designs at Think Pink were quite pretty too.
no the karma and HSY bridals usually range from 2.5lac onwards.
and sadly I have seen rip-offs of the same designs at alot places in dupatta gali. and those are the ones ranging from 85k onwards. Which is sad..for someone who spent such a mint of money on her bridal only to see copies of it all over for half the price !
I think its really really gorgeous and I luv that its so traditional! Sure .. it might be “typical” but that is where my own typical choice lies anyways If it was me, I would keep it the way it is exactly since I plan on having a shorter shirt made for my shaadi anyways regardless of the fashion… i’m only 5’1’’ and short shirts suit me a lot more and are more flattering on me. On my shaadi day - I want to wear the most flattering thing on me and not care whats in fashion.
My own personal idea is that I will wear my lehngaa shirt over jeans when it comes to celebrating anniversaries So I will get use out of it … in my own way.
oh i c...n what is the price range at think pink. sorry for asking so many questions its just that i will be in lahore very soon to do my wedding shopping and m trying to get a feel of the current prices :)
oh it's ok..anyone who's going to be in for the same hectic shopping trips and wedding preps is more than welcome to PM me anytime :D
when are you getting married rabia?? :) congratulations in advance :D
Think Pink ranges from 85k - 110k . Zardozi from 100-150k. Libas-e-Khas is slightly more expensive and HSY Karma SanaSafinaz and other designers are above the 2 lac range.
Aww PR that’s such a cute idea..hehe ..thankyouu for the feedback. Now I am actually beginning to be quite inclined towards this one too It’s really pretty. Traditional but it’s something which anyone can pull off nicely and the best part about it is that it looks equally gorgeous in real
I am no expert on this but some pointer from the pics I’ve been seeing recently:
Longer shirts are in, maybe you can get your shirt to be longer
the color of kaam - a mix of silver and gold seems to be in, looks pretty too
-the fabric - you can get multiple designs of fabrics to add more detail and make it more interesting, won’t even add any extra cost and might even save you some money on kaam . this is what I am talking about
It’s a pretty standard red bridal…because it’s a fairly classic look, it isn’t really going to go out of style. This girl wore a very similar outfit…10 years later, I don’t think the design looks dated at all.
Ruffles are in as well Enigma, i'd add some jamavar at the bottom to break the single color monotony. It's very pretty though :)
:) jamavar is what I had in mind too. So far ladies am quite bent on this one. Still indecisive :( I had no clue choosing a bridal and knowing you are actually splurging ..makes it quite difficult :p
