I need to get some information regarding indian operation brasstacks 1986-87, if somebody can help me in this regard please do contact me.

Brasstacks was basically an Indian military exercise, atleast that's what India maintains theoretically, however in Pakistan it was taken as a more serious military build up on the Rajasthan borders which caused quite some tension and formations were put on standby. Pakistan pulled the same manoevre on the Punjab borders to release pressure.
And eventually tensions eased.

thanks Haris for showing your concern about this topic but what i need is much more then this. actually i have to submit a paper of about 8000 words on this topic and what i really need is the details about the indian plan to attack pakistan from rajasthan desert and the moves that were made by pakistan to threaten india. how the troops movement along the border was carried out and the other details of this nature.
