we over reaat and every two bit idiot knows that its an easy way to get some free publicity, be it a writer, cartoonist or politician. If we learned to make our point in a strong but sensible way, not only would it be taken more seriously but not having the media circus would actually decrease the incidents of morons using it just as a publicity stunt.
