anyone seen or planning on giving this one a look?
I might’ve checked it out under regular circumstances, but there’s something about.. Kevin Costner that usually results in doom for the movies he’s in. Cheesy trailers aren’t helping either, (“Men are going to get killed here today, Sue, and I am going to kill them” (??!) ). But then there’s Rovert Duvall, so it can’t be too bad.
any thoughts?
To me, it seems like a Western drama, not a combination I usually look favourably on. But, this could go differently. My rating system:
Movies I won't see;
Movies I wouldn't pay to see; and
Movies I would pay to see.
I think this one falls into the second category.

I haven't seen many Westerns myself, in fact just Unforgiven and American Outlaws, and there was a huge difference between the two.
So was wondering someone with an appreciation of this genre could advise 'bout this one, seems a mixed bag from a distance.
A bit too long at 2 hr 15 min but worth watching on the big screen. I give it a B. Its shot in Canada (Alberta) actually.
