I remember when open front shirts in salwar kameez were totally in like 10 years ago, i remember the fashion started after the movie: har dil jo pyar karega, remember the song “piya piya” were preity and rani were wearing it?? After that movie, everyone started wearing those open front net kameez’s, and lehnga’s were made like that too…I guess this fashion is back again

I personally like it, however I think it looks the best when you’re taller and thin (not have a stomach)…

I have some old lenghas from late 90s and it had long shirts with circular cut silk lenghas with lots of material inside to poof it out…it’s weird how fashion has come around. also karishma kapoor rocked this in hum saath saath hain notice 4:16 in the song:

kajol did it back then too with churidaar pants same with madhuri i don’t think they used lenghas with long open front shirts.
