OPEN NE would like to thank our sponsor: The South Asia Initiative at Harvard University

Interesting event. Thanks for letting us know HMCQ, will you be dropping by?

I am debating going to this event. OPEN sounds like an entrepenuer oriented organization, can you share any experiences with it?

Also, I was wondering (if it wouldn't be any trouble), do you know any other Boston area organizations for Pakistani professionals particularly in Business/Economics? The only org that I am aware of is PAGB, which sounds like a cultural group.

WA AA O

they’ve actually got so many women speakers/panelists!!! in fact all females  amazing!!! i guess the topic is such but still…

Our PSA once hosted an OPEN event on our campus, I think that was two or three yrs ago. I was one of the main organisers for the event but didn’t actually end up going to it as I heard that there’s hardly going to be any females at the event so I chickened out of going  :stuck_out_tongue: Its good to see some females there!!!

RF - its a great event to go to even if it is focused on enterpreneurs. The food is great and so are the speakers. They have had the owners of sonus networks come the previous VP of AMD and so on. Some very high level talented people and a great place to network with people. Lots of my friends on Boston will probably be there.

Dont know of an economics group per say and PGAB is cultural. However PGAB is hosting a political dinner next weekend I think which may be of interest to you if you want to go.

I am going to see if I can make it to the event - all a matter of the air tickets. For you its a walk across campus so you should definately go -if just for the free food even.

Thanks for the response HMCQ. Yes indeed it would be nice to network with the Boston Pakistanis. My contacts are pretty much NYC/Conn/Cali based.

Right! I mean most of my contacts have been fellow students/researchers in HBS/Sloan, was hoping to broaden horizons. PAGB looks like a nice org.
