lol no this wasnt from OPENs listserv... this I got from elsewhere.
But from the events I have been to they are one of the first and probably the best Pakistani business oriented organization. They compare with Tie but at a much much smaller level.

^

agreed. i personally know some ppl who r involved with the OPEN silicon valley chapter. most of them r well accomplished career wise and they r trying to make OPEN as professional and helpful for pakistanis as possible.

Sounds :k:

Attended the event Wed. night. It was definitely worthwhile going to as I made several contacts in terms of networking. It was also nice to see so many young professionals on a fast career track. Speakers consisted of hedge fund managers and business owners primarily in the financial sectors but even those not in this field could relate to the topics in discussion.

I commuted into Manhattan from NJ just for the event and it did not disappoint. The venue was the top penthouse suite at downtown Fifth Ave. Dinner was catered in from a local desi place, and the overtone of the event was business/professional. I loved it.

An awesome organization if any of you are interested in joining. It is worthwhile and consists mainly of the up-and-coming Pakistanis of our generation. Let me know if you are interested in joining.
