Oolong Tea

Its got anti-cancer benefits - more so than green tea from what I understand. What I don’t get - and the Chinese store people lie I’m sure - is that they say oolong tea is what you’re actually served in resteraunts. But I thought that was green tea? But then i just had some and it tastes really different from green tea…in fact green tea is more flavorful.

I also heard that they’re all made from the same leaf - is this true?

Re: Oolong Tea

PCG- it is true that Oolong, green and black tea are derived from the same leaves. The process that each go through makes them different. I love oolong and grean tea but have not developed the taste for black tea.

Re: Oolong Tea

But is that chinese black tea the same we drink from usual nonchinese black tea brands - like lipton waghera?

Oolong tea tastes really weird. Blekh.

Re: Oolong Tea

Don't we use Orange Pekoe tea bags for our chai?

Re: Oolong Tea

I never liked tea unless it was made by someone who knows how to make tea, so I rarely drink tea...

In the meantime I drink, So Long tea...

Re: Oolong Tea

^ You might want to learn how to make it then.

Re: Oolong Tea

PR: maybe black tea is stronger
