While we've got the insurance experts around, I thought I'd ask how much would I have to pay if I decide to go for a G2?
I got my G1 when I turned 16, but never bothered getting G2.
I'm 19 right now and I'd only think of getting it if I can find out approx. how much I would have to pay for insurance.
I tried calling up a few insurance companies, but I was told that I'd have to fill out some form, mail it, then wait for their reply. According to some law in Ontario, they cannot give me an estimate over the phone.

Haha.. you have just handed M_S something to gloat about (once he gets the license after 5 attempts).
On a brighter note, M_S, worry not. My brother got his license in the first try, and then he also got the G-2 thingy on the first attempt (I am not sure what it is, but supposed to be something good). So there is hope!

I don't think anyone who has been on the road more than once in their life has ever failed the G-1 test. G-2 is like the real license. After a set time period (5 years or something i think) you need to get the G license, which is the best out of the three. You can also try for G right after getting G-2 but you don't have to.
