Only Only In Karachi Only In Pakistan

a front page headline in Dawns local metropolitan section today 19 may read as follows:
“POLICE MOBILE TAKEN AWAY AT GUN POINT”
and the details said it was being driven by a DSP who was accompanied by an armed police guard. they were on duty. it happened somewhere near some Pak colony of karachi.
i tried to look for a link, but apparently dawn havent published the item in their internet local edition.

these things leave one speechless and confused about whats happening to our nation.
if the police isnt safe here, who the hell is? i know the president and COAS isnt, am i? and you? and what are the odds of our getting face to face with fatally dangerous criminals every time we leave home out here?
i wonder what the insurance actuaries do here anmd what there figures are.

If you go further into the details you'll find that the police were out on an extortion spree of their own. Recently my young son and his friends got robbed by the police.

First I was shocked than I laughed.

Martial Law :smokin:

If the police are unable to maintain authority, maybe we need to bring in an organisation that can. Put the soldiers back on the streets :jhanda:

Re: Only Only In Karachi Only In Pakistan

Hahaha… this is seriously hilarious stuff. Imagine the DSP walking back to his thaana and telling his SP: "sir ji, hamari gaari daaku lay gayay :frowning: " :rotfl:

By the way, most people who can afford it, put those LoJack kinda things in their cars, where if its taken away or stolen, is recovered by the police within hours. You know, that GPS kinda thingy. Costs between 20-50k in Pak, I think. Cheaper than insurance.

I have a better idea. Take your police, rangers and army back to their lands and leave Karachi to the Karachittes.

call me the conspiracy theory expert…but who knows Harris, this could very well be in collaboration with the police…i mean a police mobile with all those weapons is costly stuff :halo:

we all know that half the police is involved in criminal activities :bummer:

p.s. my dad was telling me they not only took the car, but the policeman occupants in it too

^ what? just the other day you were saying it is America who is behind this? Now it is the Karachi police? How about the fundo knucleheads? Any chance they are involved?

Yeah, Did you hear that. Leave it to MQM, they will butcher, maim and kill in the name of injustice done to them for 50 years and everything will be ok. Whatever dude, you remind me of blacks who want retribution for slavery.

Pakistani police is so good isnt it? The other day Musharraf was commending them, is this what they get their commendations for LOL?

I can always count on you to twist my words Kaleem. All those years of PTV propoganda about the MQM have taken their toll. Anyway, I was talking about a LOCAL police force, made up of LOCALS. I know such a concept is impossible for some people.

^Damn seems like you can never get over your complexes.

Re: Re: Only Only In Karachi Only In Pakistan

yeah faisal,
it is a huge joke really! im actually thinking of making it into a TV drama or a short film one day. aand i cant help but picture the huge comedy of the scene with the DSP breaking the news! God! haha!

and about the tracking systems, most ppl who can afford them have them, installed in their cars but the poor police doesnt seem to be able top afford them…
most police guards have WWII recoiless rifles and the ‘daakoos’ have automatic AK47s and even G3s…:smack:

yea irem,
you could be right. this happens alot. many ppl narrate their tales of how they were looted in their cars or how their homes were robbed and they got hints that some police men were involved in the crime…its really disheartening to have all such stuff going around. where does the common man go for help and justice in distress when the providers of justice and security are the ones who rob them of their peace, security, wealth and a lot more…

good God!! :rotfl: :smack:
