well I had a discussion with him yesterday on this, and his concerns were quite surprising. He said that he had lost faith not only in people but also in Allah. He's adamant that no matter wat he's going 2 do it will not turn out positive so he just dun want any other person 2 screw up along with him. Along with that he also hv seen his friends/family members marriages going thru difficult times where ppl r in relationships even if they dun want to being a part of desi society or having kids n all that.
any how the discussion ended up in a big "what if?" once again, and I am a very aggressive optimistic person so v had 2 stop it over there.

Your sincerity may be true but that may not be helpful for him.
He has to come to terms with himself and instead of avoiding to get married because of others he needs to find any weaknesses in himself and correct them before blaming others or Allah.
How is he so sure his marriage will not work? Does he know he has some problem and is not sharing?
Let him live the life the way he likes, it is not that he is a child and he has not been told.
