If cloud are not secure.. then what is cheapest option for home users to backup data. Old school hard drive?

Green/purple are what Western Digital uses to classify hard drive which use less power (green) and purple ones have different purpose/use case. Enterprise class are most expensive because they are targeted towards businesses and are expected to run longer, for demanding applications.
Network attached storage or even 2Bay NAS would work.
