Online shopping for clothes

How many of y’all have a first hand experience from shopping online for clothes? How did it go? What kind of things you need to be careful about doing that.

No, I don’t mean online shoping Pakistani clothes .. I want to know opinions in general.

well im split......i ordered a shirt once..which fit perfectly...but when i ordered pants...i didnt like it. the pants were too tight from one area..and too loose from another.

conclusion..im willing to buy shirts online if its a good buy but im staying away from buying pants online no matter how good the deal.

Yeah, I'd agree... coats, trousers and shoes.. don't buy without trying on first.

Shirts, jackets, ties and other stuff... yeah, online is fine, if you get a good deal. :)

Ahmadjee bhai jaan,

The trick is to whenever you go to a mall, go and try out trouser etc of your size/choice and then buy the same item online. I once did that with gap. I just happened to notice a major difference in online price vs mall even taking S&H into account.

It even works out better sometimes when you don't have time to go to mall and can just order the stuff you know for sure fits you.

alot of pants have different sizing..ie one pair of ralph lauren jeans i have are perfect, but another one in a differnt colour, same style and same size are tight from the hip.

i still say dont buy pants online…same thing with jackets and shoes as Faisal Bhai said.

BTW Roman bhai.. :rotfl: go to the store to try on pants? and then buy online? haha. whos got that much time?!!

Abay I don't mean to do that on purpose. I meant whenever you want to buy something in a certain time frame and have a sorta wish list in mind then you can make some extra effort if you happen to be in the mall.

I do that with electronics all the times.

Tauba hai Romanov!

queerium, so what if I prefer the battery powered.

Dear Ahmed Jee, meet the queen of online shopping. I shop online for clothing and accessories and so far, it has been a good experience. There is only one thing that you have to be careful with and that is the choice of the company. Make sure you only shop from the designers and companies that you are familiar with, for example, if you have never tried a pair of jeans or a shirt from gap, I would not advise you to try it for the first time by making your very first online purchase. Once you know their fitting for your body type, you can proceed.

my roommate's the pro at online clothes shopping. usually works for her, though sometimes she does have to return stuff, and that sucks coz she has to pay for shipping then...

but i dont think i'd do it...i would want to try the stuff first..

one of my friend tried to buy clothes online and it was a bad experience like the size and fitting thing or i'll say not to buy clothes online

depends on what u are buying, I agree with Roman's approach, try it on and if u see it someowhere else for cheaper get it from there.

My entire soccer team used to get all our supplies from a catalog/online sprts place that specialized in soccer stuff. we rarely had any size issues. partially because the guys already went to footlocker and tried out teh exact same shoes so they knew which size fit them.

back when i was stuck in smalltown-mid-america for my undergrad, i used to order catalog stuff from places in US as well as UK and never had issues, but these were from companies I knew and had a good idea of how their sizes ran.
