I thank all fellow guppies to read the story that I attempted to write for the first time. I am very encouraged by nice comments from many readers and sometimes I got distracted by biased coments. Oh well we are all free to write whatever we want to!

Upon arrival at his home in the US, Ali immediately went to pick up Ayesha from her mom’s place. Ayesha was so very excited to see her daddy as she had missed him a lot. She also saw Lubna for the first time. She asked her daddy about what should she have called Lubna. Ali believed that Ayesha should have called mommy to her own mother. So he told her to call Lubna Aunty, as she was her aunt anyway. Lubna was happy with this arrangement. She hugged Ayesha and talked to her for a long time in Urdu and broken English. Ayesha could speak some Urdu and Punjabi while Lubna was not very good in her English but they both managed to communicate well using English, Urdu and Punjabi.
Lubna was quite excited to start her married life at her new home in the US. Lubna had entered US under a fiancée visa so she was required to get married with Ali in court within sixty days of date of entry. Within the first two weeks of her arrival, they went to the county clerk’s office and got legally married. Ali submitted the necessary paperwork for the adjustment of status of Lubna in the US. Ali took Lubna along to buy their new furniture and other household stuff in order to replace old things that were used or bought by Irrum. Ali wanted to have a fresh start and planned to get rid of everything that was either used or bought by Irrum. He however could not do anything to the image of Irrum that was very much obvious form all angles of Ayesha. Ayesha was growing to look exactly like her mom. Lubna loved little Ayesha and Ayesha equally liked Lubna. For Ali’s relief they both were getting along very well. Lubna prepared breakfast and packed lunch for Ayesha and then would have picked her up from school while Ali was at work.
Irrum was trying to enjoy her life as much as she could. Her husband Kashif was still not able to come back to US and there was no hope for that to happen in near future. She had made so many new friends and was always hanging out with them when she did not have Ayesha with her. Even during the week she had Ayesha, she would invite friends at her home. As she often stayed up late so she would drop Ayesha at school late too. She would call Ali many times to pick Ayesha up from school whenever she was running late. Ali did not mind doing small things as long as those were related to Ayesha. Irrum was so adamant not to contact her mother and was totally disconnected with her family. Her mother was equally stubborn and did not want to have any contact with her. Things were so bad that even when Irrum’s grandfather passed away, her family decided not to inform her. Irrum bought a new car and was flashing it around. She would often come to Ali’s street and play loud music in her new car. Such a child she was! Ali would have cared less for these things but she was trying hard to irritate him. Even Ayesha would get mad at the childish acts of her mom. Ayesha told her dad that her mom often embarrassed her by those cheap acts.
Lubna had learnt driving and secured her driving license four months after she arrived to US. Ali bought Lubna her car so that she could go around the town for shopping and other errands. Ali first time realized how weak Lubna was in her proficiency in English when she was reading DMV handbook. She asked Ali for the simplest words that she could not understand. This was very frustrating for him but he was being patient. She however had passed her DMV written exam during her second attempt. He then enrolled her in some English language classes. Though learning slowly but she was improving. Ayesha was being a big help for Lubna to learn English as well. Lubna talked to Ali about their future and family planning. Ali wanted her to wait for about two years before planning for their children. Lubna wanted to know why should she have to wait that long. Ali wanted Lubna to spend enough time with Ayesha so that she could develop a stronger bond before having a child of her own. Though he could not tell her that straight forwardly so he told her that he wanted her to get comfortable with her new home and environment. He also wanted her to do some schooling for English or whatever else just so that she could gain more confidence and Western knowledge. He wanted to show her around and go on vacations to visit different parts of North America. He finally made Lubna understand and come to a mutual agreement that they should have waited for about two years before she got pregnant.
Ali’s parents came back to US four months after Lubna had come here. Lubna started feeling some interference from Ali’s mom right away. She would be following her to kitchen all the time. Even when Lubna went to kitchen to get a glass of water, her mother-in-law was after her inquiring what she was doing in kitchen. Every time, Lubna went to cook something, she had to give the explanation about what she was doing and why? Then she had to get instructions about how to do things in better way. Lubna wasn’t very amused about this unnecessary interference. She would have not mind to serve her parents-in-law hot food on the dining table but hated the interference. Ali started observing some friction at home and started worrying about it. He wanted to control the situation before it would have become out of hands.

This is the time Ali SHOULD do some thing before it gets too late.
Btw why moms do that ???????? any idea and how it can be avoided ???
