Where was Irum's father during all of this, esp in the beginning when she started dating Ali? Strange.
When Ali met Irrum, this guy was still in Pakistan. Annd by the time he made it to US, Irrum had left her house for school and fun :)
So this step-father character wasn't around and even if he had been around he would have cared less. He had his own agenda to come to US and use the lady as much as he could. At the end he got what he deserved!
