What are your skills?
A lot of online work (from home) is being done in social media. It primarily includes social media marketing (SMM) and other skills which are not hard to learn at all. Ofcourse it has nothing to do with your MPhil so I would suggest you continue to do with your job hunt while learn the skill of online stuff and start working on the side.
I believe we have @Cheegum Sheeda Pistol and a bunch of others who are expert in this domain. Good luck!

note:
If you are someone like me with no money or home or laptop of your own.
borrow a second hand laptop (all you need is to ask, you will be surprised to know that so many people have a working old laptop at their home & are willing to share or give it away for free)
and for internet you can always piggyback on your neighbours Wifi. If you don't like their bandwidth find a better one. Usually the homes with better bandwidth are homes near small community parks. They don't need all that bandwidth anyway.
Happy free lancing and enjoy good money.
Always remember: Good things in life are free
I recently found out there are many tax laws that add lot of overhead to work for some organization that has no presence in Pakistan. A lady I know had visa issues so had to return to Pakistan hoping that she will be able to continue her medical transcription job remotely but solely due to tax issues her employer backed out.
Yeah it's being very good for the those people who are looking for jobs ..
This millennial’s company makes millions buying from Walmart and reselling on Amazon
One man?s clearance aisle is another man?s treasure.
You may not be able to do the same as this person did, but basically he is buying on discount then resells on the internet: Good Luck!
So goes the mantra for Ryan Grant, a 30-year-old entrepreneur whose company notched over $6 million in sales last year, in part by buying items at his local Walmart and reselling them on Amazon.
?My initial goal with this was just to replace the income that I was making from my accounting job, which at the time that I quit was $50,000 a year,? he said on Yahoo Finance?s live show YFi PM. ?This has definitely exceeded what I thought possible and it has definitely exceeded my initial goals.?
Grant?s experiment as an Amazon reseller started small. In college at Winona State University, he sold used textbooks on the site and got familiar with tracking just how in-demand certain books or products were. Years later, after growing bored with his job in accounting, Grant rekindled the same scheme with products he found on sale at his local Walmart. Scooping and scanning everything in the aisles from toys, to vacuums, to kitchenware helped reveal which items were selling for a higher price online.
?At the very beginning it was just me doing this out of half of a duplex that I was owner-occupying so there was product literally in every room of the house,? he said.
When he started making just as much through his side hustle as he was from his accounting day job, he decided to quit in 2013.
Grant now employs a staff of about 10 to handle product sourcing so he doesn’t have to. At this point, Grant is taking a salary of $60,000 for about a 15-hour work week.
