I need to slice a huge quantity of onions. Have you guys ever had success with a food processor to chop or slice onions? I have something similiar to this:

my mom always used food processor to chop onions, depending on the settings u can have em diced in tiny pieces or in longer thiner slices...

unfortunately my hand me down dont work for me no more so i use the original food chopper.. hubby =/

Thanks Sara and amnaar, but what kind of blade to use? The two winged one or the one that grates adn slices?

i think the one that grates/slices will work ...and not the two winged one..it will make a mush of the onions...
